BIOGRAPHY
Leticia Moreno has appeared with renowned conductors including Zubin Mehta, Yuri Temirkanov, and Krzysztof Penderecki and with leading orchestras including the Wiener Symphoniker, Mozarteum Orchester, St. Petersburg Philharmonic and Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar.
Winner of international competitions such as Szeryng, Concertino Praga, Novosibirsk, Sarasate and Kreisler, Leticia has also been awarded other prizes including the Royal Philharmonic Society´s Emily Anderson Prize, the Philharmonia Orchestra’s Martin Musical Scholarship.
Recent projects have included a tour with Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, conducted by Yuri Temirkanov. Her successful debut with the Simón Bolívar Orchestra and Christian Vásquez performing both Szymanowsky concertos has led to further invitations to perform Dvorák and Britten violin concertos. In Spain she appears regularly with the Symphony Orchestras of Barcelona, Seville and Valencia, the Basque National Orchestra and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Madrid.
Leticia studied with Zakhar Bron at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid and the Musikhochschule of Cologne. She completed her academic education at the Saarland Musikhochschule with Maxim Vengerov, before graduating with honours from London´s Guildhall School of Music with David Takeno as her advisor.
Leticia has previously recorded with Verso and Claves. Her first CD for violin and piano will be launched alongside her Rising Stars tour.
